friends of Irving park Elementary
Friends of Irving Park Elementary is a volunteer, 501 c(3) nonprofit organization founded to provide private financial support for Irving Park Elementary. IPE was established in 1923, and is one of the oldest elementary schools in Greensboro, NC. It is now the first in Guilford County to be a STEAM certified school.

Join us at the Friends of Irving Park Elementary 5k and Fun Run, presented by Greensboro Orthopaedics. The event will be held Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. and the course will make its way through the beautiful streets of Kirkwood and Old Irving Park.
The proceeds of the 5K and Fun Run will benefit Friends of Irving Park Elementary.
The 5k and Fun Run is not only a FIPE fundraiser but also a fun community event as well. Please join us in a social, fun, and active event enjoying our neighborhood and supporting a good cause.

- Children’s fun run: free for IPE students, $5 for all other children
- 5K participation: $25 per person, $40 per couple, or $50 per family up to 4 children, and additional children are $15.
- T-shirts for those registered before April 15.

- Beating to our global drums in music class, which boosts mathematical skills while making music
- Innovating through special science workshops about magnets, harnessing heat, ecosystems, and weather
- Enjoying our improved campus with newly painted trim, walkways, fencing and lighting.
